Community Partner Program  

A program that allows you to host public gatherings that inspire, educate, and connect people in meaningful ways that impact a growing community of creatives and innovators.

Does your event happen weekly or monthly and you’d like to call Millwork Commons your home for this recurring event? Then keep reading! 

 

All partnership events must meet the following criteria

The event...

  • is free and open to the public.  
  • located in The Dock.
  • is educational, inspirational, or networking focused to connect the tech, entrepreneurial, nonprofit, or art communities. 
  • falls within Monday – Friday, from the hours of 7:30 am – 6:00 pm. 
  • has 50 people or less in attendance.
  • does not require extra furniture rentals.  
  • has minimal to no food/beverage (otherwise, there is a cleaning fee). 
  • Only uses the footprint of the video wall/felt ceiling.

Along with...

  • Content is not political or religious. 
  • Content is public-facing and family-friendly.  
  • Acknowledgment and understanding of the following: 
    • The event cohabitates with the public space, meaning there will be ambient noise, other people meeting and interacting in the space, alongside the coffee shop, tap room, and other cross-traffic of people coming and going.  
  • If alcohol is present, it is the organization’s responsibility to secure a liquor license or work with an approved caterer that will provide one.

Community Partners Receive...

  • Access to small storage space 
  • Access to use the video wall & microphones
  • No venue fee (at-cost fees may be incurred depending on the scope of event for cleaning, security, etc)
  • Priority on reserving The Dock

Your Responsibility

  • You will be the host of your event and thus entrusted to take care of the space like it’s your own.  
  • Ensure you are at your event from startup to teardown and leave the space as you found it.
  • You or your organization is responsible for any damages that may be incurred during your event.
  • Your event must meet all the criteria above, in addition to applying to be a partner. 

Become a Community Partner

  1. Apply – Please ensure the primary point of contact is the person that will be at all events and assume all responsibility for the event.
  2. Approval – Space is limited, so not all applications are accepted, but we’ll try our best!
  3. Onboard – Attend a 2 hr training session to learn how to use the space, the video wall, access the storage space, and more!
  4. Official Programming Partner! Millwork is now your new home for this community gathering!

To uphold the vision and mission of Millwork Commons, all Community Partner applicants will be reviewed and approved based on the proposed activity or type of event at the discretion of Millwork Commons.
