For one special day only, Chicago based singer and sound healing artist, Davin Youngs is bringing his beloved community singing experience to Omaha.
Davin is the founder and host of Chicago Circle Singing, a vibrant community singing gathering for anyone and everyone who loves to sing.
Circle Singing is a shared vocal practice championed by the artist Bobby McFerrin. During this gathering Davin builds improvised songs in the moment using call and response, simple patterns and layered grooves. Davin stands in the center, teaches easily sung phrases, and guides the room as those patterns loop, stack and evolve into rich, living soundscapes.
